Proof of Life – Ep 8: “Crypto, Kindness, and the Dreamers Who Need One Yes” ft Phavourite Henry
“Fear Isn’t Sustainable. Purpose Is.”
Some people carry peace like it’s an anchor, and Phavourite Henry is one of those people.
While many are sprinting to meet society’s clock, Phavourite moves differently. Her life is paced by conviction, not comparison. Her well-curated Instagram grid reflects this: a soft palette of Bible verses, gentle encouragements, and reminders that purpose doesn’t always shout; it often whispers.
She’s daring to build in the tech space while working in the high-stakes world of crypto and living with both purpose and softness in a world that often demands one or the other. Her story is one of alignment: trading the fear of lack for the abundance of calling, choosing intention over noise, and showing up with excellence that isn’t loud but deeply faithful.
In this Proof of Life episode, Phavourite reminds us that purpose is not just about work; it’s about trust. Trusting God’s timing, trusting your preparation, and trusting that even cartoons can be holy when they help you hold on to hope.
Enjoy.
What does Proof of Life mean to you right now?
Proof of Life is a pulse check, a moment to ask myself if I’m alive in my own narrative or just existing. It’s the harmony between the ambition driving me in crypto and the softness that keeps me human. It’s feeling awe during a late-night walk under a starry sky or laughing at a cartoon that reminds me not to take life too seriously. It’s realizing that purpose isn’t all grind—it’s also in the joy.
You once said your drive used to come from the fear of being broke. Now, it’s about fulfilling God’s purpose. What shifted for you—and how do you know when you’re still on the path He’s called you to?
The shift came when I realized fear isn’t sustainable. It burns you out. Living for God’s purpose feels expansive—it’s no longer about what I lack but what I’m called to give. I know I’m still on His path when I experience peace that surpasses understanding, even amid chaos, and when my work uplifts others.
You’re building a tech-driven employment platform with your friend. What problem are you really trying to solve—and who are you thinking about when you build?
We’re tackling the gap between talent and opportunity. Too often, amazing people are overlooked because of broken systems or geography. When we build, I think about the single mom who needs flexibility, the recent grad who’s hungry to learn, and the dreamer who just needs one yes.

The crypto space can feel confusing and intimidating to outsiders. What’s one truth about working in that space that you wish more people understood?
It’s not just about making money or technical jargon, it’s about building a more equitable future. Crypto holds potential for financial freedom and innovation for people excluded from traditional systems. That excites me every day.
You’ve said one of your biggest fears is “dancing with mediocrity”. What does living with excellence look like to you right now—in your work, your walk with God, or even in rest?
Living with excellence means giving my best in every season, whether that’s showing up fully for a meeting, praying intentionally, or resting without guilt. It’s also allowing myself grace—knowing excellence isn’t perfection, but being faithful with what I have.
You’ve probably heard, “When are you getting married?” more times than you can count. How do you navigate that pressure without letting it chip away at your peace or purpose?
I remind myself that societal timelines don’t dictate my worth or trajectory. Marriage is beautiful, but so is fully inhabiting this season. I trust that God’s timing is perfect, and I focus on cultivating joy and purpose in the now. In as much as marriage is also in God’s plan for me, it comes with a lot of sacrifices, before I get to the point where I have to make them, let me obey the purpose that is now.
What’s one cartoon that still brings you comfort—or makes you feel seen in a way that grown-up content never quite could?
“Avatar: The Last Airbender.” It’s about balance, growth, and choosing kindness in a fractured world. There’s something healing in seeing characters wrestle with their humanity while still holding on to hope.

What Am I Watching?
Last week, I discovered moviebox.ng, and my life hasn’t been the same since. Netflix, Amazon, Showmax, HBO, and Apple all in one place — the best part — ALL FREE.
Don’t say I told you.
Anyway, I’ve always thought "Gods of the Arena" was the best season of Spartacus, and this rewatch reinforced that belief.
It is safe to say that this is a good place to peace out for the week.
Till next week! Have Fun.
