How was your week?
Proof of Life: Voice Notes.
A few weeks ago, I shared the progress of Proof of Life with my friends at SOHR’s potluck, and the feedback, love, and genuine excitement for how far this little newsletter has come were incredibly special to receive. It is always a beautiful thing to be reminded that something you started simply because it mattered to you has quietly started to matter to other people, too.
In true SOHR fashion, somewhere between good food, warm conversation, and the kind of thoughtful chaos that usually fills SOHR’s sessions, I was showered with new ideas on how to make your favourite newsletter even better. This one came from that exchange, and I was sold almost immediately, so a big shout-out to Jojo Inika who suggested it.
The idea was simple.
What if POL guests answered personal questions via voice notes?
So, between planning a project I was deeply excited about and finally catching up on some overdue reports, I asked a few friends one simple question:
How was your week?
What came back was honest, unfiltered, and beautiful. There were voice notes about corporate politics, heavy emotions, rainy days, quiet wins, and the small negotiations that make up ordinary life. The kind of things we rarely document in real time, but somehow become the truest evidence that we are here, living through it.
Proof of Life has always been about paying attention to the everyday. This time, you get to hear it in their own words. Or better yet, in their own voices.
Hogan
“…God, see where I rent house for 2 Million.”
Queeneth
“…Some friends are better appreciated from afar.”
Kelechi
“I was stressed but I am glad we were able to deliver.”
And here’s a snippet from the SOHR potluck. You should attend the next edition.
On a personal note…
The past few weeks have been really special for me. I got to bring something to life that I had been genuinely excited about for a while, and seeing it come together the way it did reminded me how beautiful it is when good ideas are met with the right people. I had a solid team at work helping me shape it into something real, and outside of that, I had Ubi and Ugo in my corner, which made the entire process even better. Proper shout out to both of them.
CreateCon was one of those projects that felt personal from the start. At its core, it was built around something I have been thinking about for a while, how creators can move beyond just making things for the sake of visibility and start thinking more intentionally about structure, value, and what it means to build something sustainable from their work. Watching that idea become a real conversation in a real room with real people was one of the most fulfilling parts of my month.
In other news, I am on my way to the field to kick some balls!…lol. It has been 2 long weeks of no football!.
Cheers!
Till next week! Have Fun.

Congrats boss
